Good Evening!
Happy late Easter to all my family and friends. Last year at this time the boys were still in the hospital. I believe we dressed them up in little Easter attire, stuffed them in a basket, covered them with plastic eggs and took a bunch of obnoxious pictures. My poor boys are going to hate the camera by the time they can speak!
This year the boys got a few books and a few toys from the Easter bunny and other than that a trip to Lowes in the choo-choo wagon (which I did not take pictures of ). They thought they were hot stuff. They all had on their cool little shorts, shirts and sunglasses. They love to kick their foot up on one side and lay back. Needless to say we had a lot of "oh, look at that...how adorable!" I think for the first time we were not questioned, "are they natural?" I feel sorry for the next person that might ask that. Really it is quite funny, I feel like saying no, they are made of plastic and come with a remote control. They even come with a birth certificate like cabbage patch kids use to.
In all seriousness, we had a wonderful Easter weekend. The weather was in the mid 80's and we spent a lot of time outside and with neighbors. I think we tuckered the little guys out.
Things here have been going well. The boys are doing good. Not much change with them. Jason is doing great. He has the fishing itch like you wouldn't believe and I think he will be scratching that itch here in the next few weeks for several weeks. I had the talk last week; it goes a little something like this... J: so, um I want to talk to you about fishing. S:
(deep breath) yea... J: well, you know its going to be really good here the next few weeksandIwouldreallyliketogoandiltakeoffworkafewtimessowewillstillhavetheweekendstogether,
Iwontmissabeatipromise. S:
(did you guys understand that? no because that's how fast he tries to get in the conversation) ok,that's fine, I...J: but wait don't say fine...S: no really Jas, it is ok just let me know the time and please be home at night. J:
(huh, ok where's the catch?)
Ha! I guess I need to let him fish a little more this year. I know, all you men out there are giving me a hard time, but its hard when I am home all day with kids and I don't get out other than to go to Dr or grocery store. It's hard to just let myself understand he needs to get out too. So, Jason...I get it and just bare with me. I am sure over the next few weeks I will be able to post some pics of Jason's monster fish caught.
I am doing good too. I was pretty busy with my business, Smart Close for awhile and it has come to a pretty slow pace so I am now working on marketing. I should have some good reading material to provide to banks as well as a website in the next few weeks. I am pretty excited about it and can only hope this will bring in some very positive feed back.
Two of my girlfriend called me a few weeks ago saying that I need to start going to Zumba with them. I wasn't real receptive to the idea. I don't like classes like that, but let me tell you, I had a blast and even though I may not have the best shake-of-the hips...it is a GREAT workout. I signed up to take the remaining 7 weeks (2x's a week) and I will get my figure back!!!!
I hope all of you out there that keep up with this blog are still enjoying our "exciting" life. I know it is just to see the pics of the boys...that is fine, they are too cute not to!
Signing off for now, but please enjoy the pics below.
