"The Crew"

I thought I would update on how we are all doing now that we are nearing the end of summer. I apologize now for such a LONG blog, but its been awhile and I just have so many great pictures!

We had a great summer with many family visitors which made time just fly by! I can't believe we are almost into September! Where do these months go? The weather here in Knoxville has just been insane. I actually saw this morning that the whole week was going to be in the high 80's...Yippee!!! I or should I say, we are SOOOO ready for fall weather! We took a long, long walk thru the park today!

This summer was a little hard for me. Quitting my job, having three babies and having to stay inside 95% of the time really made the walls of this house feel small! We generally would go shopping just to get out and that literally was most of our outdoor adventure excitement, except for a few Dr. visits here and there and a possible outing to my old work place to "show-off" our cuties.

Okay, now updates on our Family...

Asher: He continues to grow and change everyday! We have physical therapy once a week to help with his torticollis and we have already seen a difference in the last few weeks of working with him at home so I do believe the P.T. will work wonders!

Skyler: I thought for the longest time that Ryder was going to be our rowdy one, the one to always keep us on our toes, but...I am starting to think we will need eagle eyes for Sky! He is hilarious! He never sits still, he constantly is making noises, laughing, rolling over and just being a Ham. He has changed the most over the last several weeks and (per the video)has given us so many laughs.

Ryder: We have had a lot of ups and downs with Ry, he has had the most trouble with reflux and tummy pains, but since the recent idea of trying out probiotics he has made almost a 180! He is such a happier baby, and most of the time smiles all day long. I am a much happier mommy now that I feel Ryder is getting better.

All in all the boys are between 17-18lbs each, healthy and continue to change and give us something to laugh about. They will soon be 6 mos old and we will start food!!

Now on to mom and dad updates:

Jason aka Daddy: He is busy at work and then comes home to busy. I think he is surviving the dual roles and even gets a little "me" time. He hasn't been fishing much this year (next year should be better), but he was involved in a summer soccer league that just finished up. He will also be playing this fall. He continues to be the glue to our big family...he keeps me calm when I feel like I can't handle another hard, fussy baby day! He is a wonderful dad and continues to be the best husband and best friend I could have ever asked for.

Summer aka Mommy: I spend my days working too...it is always an active day with three baby boys. A routine that doesn't change much other than one day I might give a bath, one day I might take a baby with me to run some errands or one night I might have one more glass of wine than the previous...hee hee.

It really is nice to be home with the boys to see them change and have that one on one time with them...I do feel lucky I have this time, but I do also want to keep my mind busy with other stuff. I recently enrolled in a "how to make baby food" class at the University of TN and I enrolled in a photography class! I am super excited for both. Photography is something I have always loved and Jason really pushed me to take the class and I am glad he did. I also recently decided that I wanted to try and keep my foot in the door with my career. This is not something I can do full-time, but I have formed an LLC and HOPE (with the support of Jason, a friend of mine and the Grandmas)to do some contract work with banks, closing commercial, small business loans. This is something I have wanted to do for the last few years and I am going to give it a try. I don't have expectations in this, I would love to be working from home and be home for the boys, but if this doesn't seem to work out then I can say I tried.

There is always something going on around here. We thought we were busy before the babies, well we are triple the busy and still somehow find a bit of down time. Its all about the routine and the crazy schedule...we really seem to have made it work. There are the days where I think I have failed at being a mom to triplets because it really isn't easy, but once I have my "woe is me time" I get over it and realize its going to be fine.

I hope you have enjoyed this LONG blog and the great pics of our family.  Lucky you...there will always be more...

When Mama Says No, Call 1-800-Grandpa

Grandpa Harding left today after a nice long visit.  He was a poop-changing trooper!  He rolled up his sleeves and got right in to help.  It was so nice to have him here to see the boys and be a part of our everyday craziness.  We will miss him, but hopefully he will be back for another visit in a few short months.  Thanks Dad, we love you!

If you give a person a fish, they'll fish for a day. But if you train a person to fish, they'll fish for a lifetime.

Mom and Dad just got done washing the boat and Ryder really wanted to take a spin, but he's just a little too young.  Jason often talks about needing a bigger boat to teach all his boys how to fish the second they can hold a pole in their little hands...

"Rubber Ducky You're the One"

What else do we have to do but put our babies in a life size rubber ducky?!  We couldn't resist...

Nana and Grandpa Harding are here and not much outdoor fun has been had due to the HOT, HOT weather, but we are keeping ourselves entertained.  We have had some pretty fussy baby days and we all just hope that tomorrow will be the start of HAPPY BABIES once again!

A good friend of ours, Andi got married this past weekend and the grandparents were so wonderful to stay home with the boys all night Saturday to let us join in the festivities and it also allowed for mom and dad to stay the night at the Hilton!  It was a beautiful ceremony, a fun reception and I have to say mom and dad looked pretty GOOD! Ha!  We did get all dressed up for the occasion; it has been quite sometime that I got all dolled up.  We really enjoyed ourselves and were so thankful that we were able to go.

We don't have too much planned the next few days aside from hanging with the babes.  All is well in the Meade household.  Here are a few pics of our cuties!

It's all about Babies

Grandma Meade has come and gone; her 6 week visit went too fast!  We had a lot of visitors during her stay, a lot of changes in the boys and a lot of FUN!  The boys will miss her as will we, but SHE'LL BE BACK...

My Mom and Dad are out in Wisconsin visiting my sisters new baby, Naveah and their other granddaughter, Isabelle.  The will arrive here in TN on Wednesday.  Grandpa Harding will be visiting for a week and Nana will be here for 5 weeks.  I am very excited for their trip out here. The boys have changed so much since my mom last saw them and Grandpa hasn't seen them since before they left the NICU!!!

The boys are doing good.  They will be 5 mos on the 4th.  Ryder continues to keep me on my toes, but I am starting to understand him a little bit better; he is my challenge out of the 3. Yea, pay back I suppose... No, really they are doing wonderful and everyday getting more fun.  They continue to sleep thru the night.  They are ready for bed right after their 8pm bottle and half the time we are waking all of them for their 730am bottle...how lucky are we?!

The boys are more and more growing into their own "person".  Asher is still calm as ever.  We can place him in a boppy on the couch and he will kick his piano for an hour.  He absolutely LOVES music!  Any music that is near him he will just sit and listen to.  I used to sing songs you know...Bob Marley, the Grateful Dead, a little James Taylor, BUT its official...I now walk around the house singing baby songs.  I figured I needed to get into that mode sooner rather than later.  To spice it up; after singing the ABC song I will sing it in Spanish and then in German (maybe a little more fun for mom).

Skyler is learning to suck his thumb and really loves to watch people.  He seems to be a very observant baby...we are thinking a possible architect in the making.

Ryder is our little spit fire.  He really is full of life.  When he is sad he is sad and when he is happy he is the happiest baby on earth!  He is a very sensitive baby and very much aware of his surroundings and LOVES his brothers.

Well, we are sad Grandma M. is gone, we wish we were all closer.  It's really a wonderful thing to have their grandparents a part of their lives right now.The next 5 weeks will be fun, I am hoping to get the boys first visit to the zoo in.  As soon as this crazy, hot weather cools down...WE ARE THERE!!!!

I haven't been too good at taking pictures the past few weeks, but I will leave you...once again with some sweet baby boys.
