A weekend with Family… Where does the time go?

Grandpa “Biggie” and Uncle Mikey came for a visit this past weekend.  The boys were very excited to see Grandpa again, and meet Uncle Mikey for the first time.  The duo arrived on Thursday night after the 8 pm feed.  It was perfect timing as it gave us all a chance to breathe while performing the appropriate introductions.  The boys took immediately to Mikey as he did them.  He even got to change a poopy diaper the very first night.  Skyler whispered to me that he overhead something Mommy said about “ripping off a prom dress”.  Guess he needed to work on his gentle touch, which he became very good at by the end of the weekend.  Mike you can come change a diaper up in this house anytime

Friday morning all but Grandma M. went to do some work at the lake house.  Summer got to see the finished product as it is now on the market.  Was a lot of work; the weather was great; time was too short; and we were back feeding and changing the little guys by early evening.

Saturday AM Grandpa Bigs and Mikey helped Grandma with the AM feed, Mikey walked the dog, and Grandpa made breakfast.  The day was spent relaxing and enjoying while changing poopy pants and feeding.  In the PM Uncle Mikey made a sweet chicken and mac dish.  We inhaled it, and stayed up too late watching a movie.

Sunday AM Grandpa Bigs helped Grandma again with the AM feed and then made breakfast for all.  And the pancakes weren’t even over done.   Thanks Gramps it was great to catch a much needed AM feed for the adults.   Then they were off to catch their flights.

Not sure where the weekend went, but we wish there were more hours in the day.  We are very much looking forward to their next visit. 

Bryan I am sure Mikey will teach them the typewriter and other tactics he so willingly employed on us as kids.  I only hope these three get big enough to pay him back when they get older.  What a great uncle he’ll be.  Summer has already offered up letting Mikey teach the boys to drive.

So what’s next??  Grandma H. aka Nana arrives tonight.  Training tomorrow…  Then the Ludke sisters arrive on Thursday.  Crazyness on Friday…  Then they leave with Grandma M. on Saturday, leaving us with Nana for six weeks.  The boys and I will be out numbered 3 to 8 this weekend.
