We continue to teach them sign language, since it is a silent way of communication, our sweet Sky has learned that if I don't see the sign within his time frame he will literally slide his plate across the counter to have me give him more food. Hmmm...not a huge fan of this, but for now I chuckle.
Skyler is getting into building, Ryder likes to destroy and Asher loves his arts and crafts. Asher still has his own little language. He will carry on a 3 sentence conversation as if I should understand him, but not much makes sense. You can tell he has certain tones for certain thoughts, it really is awesome.
Jenna, our Nanny is working with them everyday teaching them shapes, colors, numbers, words, the alphabet, how to finger paint and today they learned how to glue. We have quite the portfolio going in our home at the moment. They are brilliant little artists! I love it!!!!!
We keep busy as always. We recently took the boys to the zoo, it was a nice family outing. It was really the 1st time the boys "noticed" the animals and got excited.
We keep on the go and the older they get the easier (in certain ways) things get. It is still very hard for just the 2 of us to take the boys a lot of places. It does get frustrating. We see our friends taking their kids to the pumpkin patch or the park and it just doesn't work like that for us. We need an extra person most of the time. We do the best to get out and do things where it won't cause a danger to one of them. When we were at the soccer game Asher got out of sight for a split second and I was in a panic. I couldn't see him anywhere then found him at the next field moving all of their cones around!
I try and write about all the good times, the good memories but nothing is perfect as you all may know...We had a fun-filled weekend this past weekend. All 3 boys were very ill. There was a lot of clothing changes (12 different pants to be exact) on Saturday afternoon, a lot of floor clean ups, counter-top clean ups and crib clean ups. Jason and I got thru the stomach bug that day and just as we were winding down and getting them ready for bed, I went into the kitchen to do something. I was in there for maybe 5 minutes when I then saw Ryder and Sky sitting so sweetly on the floor reading a book (this is what I saw without my glasses), but I noticed that Ash was standing about 3 feet away with his hands behind his back looking at them. I was talking to Ash across the room letting him know it was okay that he didn't feel well etc. I walked into the living room and quickly noticed that the book that the boys were reading was actually the two of them elbow deep in a huge jar of Vaseline! Our sweet Asher was just standing there letting them know they were in big trouble! ha! I ran over to the boys and grabbed Ryder who was crying because he had so much Vaseline around his hands they were stuck together. We ended our fun-filled puke fest with essentially waterproofing our wood floors and kitchen sink.
The boys are just now starting to feel better and lets just hope that doesn't happen for awhile! I will sign-off leaving you with pictures of our handsome little men. Enjoy! Peace and love to all our friends and family!
