Merry, Merry!

I woke up at 5am this morning wishing it was Christmas day so that the boys could open their gifts and I realized that I almost felt as though I was that 6 year old kid again trying to stay awake to see Santa on Christmas Eve!  Awesome, I wanted those days back!

So yes, this year will be fun with the boys.  We have had our tree up since the 1st week of December; we decorated it with lights, but no ornaments.  The boys have done amazing, we thought for sure Ryder would try to climb it, Skyler try to pull it down or Asher take the lights off...at least someone do something, but all we really have had is: Mom/Dad/Jenna:  "boys, don't touch the tree" and then the boy(s) look back with their handsome little look, smile and...touch the tip of one of the branches.  How do little ones know to push buttons so early on??  It's quite funny.

Another reason I couldn't go back to sleep this morning was because I was also thinking of my sister, Carrie.  She loved this holiday.  She kept the 80's style tree that we grew up with and just loved being with family.  We weren't always together for the holidays, but man I wish I could just wish her a Merry Christmas right now.  Its still just so crazy that she is not here, however just knowing how much she loved this holiday puts a grander memory of her in my head and heart and I guess for those of us that have lost loved ones, that's what you take and run with.  It's another reason to sit back over the craziness of the holiday and cherish the life you have and who you have with you on the journey...friends and family.

Aside from Christmas we are all doing well.  The boys are 21 mos old, growing and changing by the hour.  Each day their little individual personalities come out.  A girlfriend of mine is due in March and we were talking about how quickly the infant days go and she wondered "how did you do it?" and the truth to it as other parents told us before we were parents is; you just do and it goes by so fast.  Sometimes it feels like we were just waking every 3 hours to feed all 3 of them in 15 minute intervals, and now they sit at a table in booster seats and throw the food they don't like to the dog. Really? Does it happen that fast?  It blows my mind that it does.

The boys remain to be the funniest little ones I know (moms opinion) and some days the craziest, but it sure is fun.  It is getting harder and harder to describe the things they do to those that don't see them on a regular basis.  You just need to be here...visitors???

Asher walks around day in and day out with a dinosaur in his hand, he will bring a dinosaur to the table and feed it food.  He lost his favorite "saur" for about 2 days and all we heard during the day was "saur, saur, saur". This week he decided that the other two boys were not allowed to wear  the shirts that have dinosaurs on them; apparently Mr. Asher Meade has rights to "The Dinosaur".  Our little Asher also still remains to be the happiest baby on earth.

Skyler loves his attention and does everything to get it.  He is the neediest, yet I see him being "the boss".  I think he will be the social one.  When we are out in public he is the charmer.  He shoots this look at you and smiles with this little dimple that will melt any girls heart.  He always says "hi" and "bye" and he wants you to know he is saying it.  Skyler loves to help.  He spilled some water on the floor the other day and instead of me cleaning it up, I gave him the towel and he was so happy to clean it up and then continued to wipe other areas of the floor.  I think I may be on to something!

Ryder is still the wild child.  He loves riding toys and will spend his play time riding between the kitchen and the playroom.  The faster the better and now he has learned to lean slightly forward and take his feet up (like riding a motorcycle).  You better believe I love it when he goes into the walls, its my fav!  Ryder loves his Dada and has the cutest little wiggle dance you will ever see.

Well, the boys are up. I was just greeted by Asher and his "saur".  Time to go make breakfast!  I know I have been bad at the blog, but I should have you slightly up to speed on the little ones.  We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and an awesome 2012!
